President Moon Jae-in has declared a special disaster zone for the areas hit by the massive forest fire that swept across the northern regions of the country.<br />The designation covers a total of five cities and counties in Gangwon-do Province,… including Goseong and Sokcho.<br />The presidential office says all areas of the government will support efforts for recovery and restoration.<br />The fire broke out on Thursday night,... burning hundreds of homes and facilities,... and forcing some 4-thousand people to evacuate. The government has declared the fire a national disaster. <br />
