Fighting between rival forces is raging on the outskirts of the Libyan capital.<br />Thousands of refugees and migrants are locked up in shelters inside Tripoli after a military assault on the city by the eastern Libyan military commander Khalifa Haftar took place on Sunday.<br />The attack caused around 30 deaths and nearly 90 injuries.<br />The United Nations is urging forces to declare a two hour truce to evacuate civilians.<br />But Haftar's Libyan National Army appears intent on continuing the battle as fears rise the country could be plunged into civil war. <br />
