South Korea's new ambassador to Beijing says China has a crucial role to play in the peace process and the final denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.<br />Speaking upon his arrival in the Chinese capital on Sunday, Jang Ha-sung emphasized China's role in the process... and pledged to build closer Seoul-Beijing ties one step at a time.<br />He said their relationship should act as the catalyst for peace on the peninsula.<br />Jang is a former presidential policy chief and was named as the new ambassador last month. <br />
