A window washer died after being struck in the head by a falling brick while working on an Upper East Side building in New York City on Monday (April 8) around 12:15pm according to police.<br /><br />The 51-year-old victim was washing windows at 311 E. 50th St. near Second Ave., a 14-story residential building, when a brick was knocked loose around noon by the apparatus used to secure his scaffolding to the building’s facade, authorities said.<br /><br />In the video, we can see emergency services putting the victim in an ambulance. <br /><br />A witnesses explains on camera that the victim "had blood all over his chest" when the rescue team arrived. <br /><br />Another witness says it was "terrifying and really upsetting".<br /><br />Medics took the victim, who lived in Queens, to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he died. <br /><br />His name was not immediately released.
