New York City Declares<br />Health Emergency <br />After Measles Outbreak More than 250 cases of<br />measles have been documented<br />since September 2018 in the Williamsburg area<br />of Brooklyn, New York. Unvaccinated individuals<br />are required to receive vaccinations<br />within the next 48 hours. Failure to do so may result<br />in a misdemeanor as well as<br />a possible $1,000 fine. Mayor Bill de Blasio said the<br />emergency was declared in<br />an attempt to stop the outbreak<br />from spreading further.
