EU leaders have granted an extension to Brexit, setting a new deadline of October 31st.<br />EU Council President Donald Tusk says the extension is shorter than he expected and can be ended early if Britain passes its Withdrawal Agreement.<br />He added that the UK can still consider canceling Brexit altogether up until the end of this latest extension period.<br />The UK had been due to leave the EU on Friday. <br />With this six-month delay, it will have to participate in European Parliament elections at the end of May, unless British Prime Minister Theresa May can get her deal through Parliament before then. <br />
