Transport Minister Anthony Loke said foreign vessels involved in operations to repair undersea cables will be exempted from obtaining an endorsement from the Malaysian Shipping Association.<br /><br />This came into effect on 1st April, 2019 under the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952.<br /><br />Currently, there is only one vessel performing undersea cable maintenance.
