"임신초기 낙태 금지는 위헌"…헌재, 66년만에 법개정 결정<br /><br />Korea's Constitutional Court has ruled that a decades-old law banning abortion is unconstitutional.<br />In its ruling Thursday afternoon, the court called for the abortion law to be amended by the end of next year. <br />Abortion has been illegal in South Korea for almost 70 years, with a maximum fine of 1-thousand-800 U.S. dollars or a year in prison for intentional miscarriages.<br />Seven years ago, the highest court narrowly upheld the law when the issue was raised by a claimant arguing that it infringed on a woman's right to choose. <br />
