The South Korean government is conducting a survey into the working conditions of foreign crew members of deep sea fishing boats.<br />Since Monday, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has teamed up with regional offices and the seafarers' union for a month-long joint probe.<br />The team will hold in-depth discussions with foreign crew members and shipowners …to check if employment contracts are reasonable …and whether there have been cases of overdue wages or assault.<br />The survey, conducted since 2013 for the foreign crew of local fishing boats, …has been expanded to cover deep sea fishing boats from this year. <br />
