Reconstruction of Notre Dame could take up to 40 years according to experts in charge of restoration at other historic cathedrals.<br />They say a segment of the cathedral has been very weakened by the blaze and materials for the building such as about 3 thousand trees and tons of limestone, need to be found.<br />But France's president Emmanuel Macron is planning to rebuild the cathedral within five years.<br />Macron pledged to rebuild it "even more beautifully" in a nationwide address this week.<br />More than one billion U.S. dollars in donations have poured in for the restoration project. <br />
