A seven-foot-long king cobra caused severe traffic disruption on a busy road in southern India. <br /><br />Footage captured today (April 19) shows the venomous reptile laying on the pavement in the middle of the road as vehicles pass by in Chennai city, Tamil Nadu.<br /><br />Forest department officials rushed to the spot and removed the snake from the road.<br /><br />The reptile was released on the side of the road and escaped through a tiny hole in the ground.
