'이란 원유'관련 정부대표단 美 파견<br /><br />In a little over a week, South Korea will no longer be exempt from the U.S. sanctions on oil from Iran.<br />Seoul had asked for another waiver and didn't get one, but the foreign ministry says it's sending officials to Washington this week for consultations.<br />The ministry says they'll be looking into the background of the State Department's announcement on Tuesday ending all of the exemptions granted to eight countries.<br />The South Korean delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Yun Kang-hyeon, is expected to ask for an extension of the waiver.<br />The loss of the waiver is expected to hurt South Korea's petrochemical industry, which relies heavily on imports of Iranian condensate. <br />
