This is the moment an imprudent passenger was caught hanging out of a speeding car in order to take selfies.<br /><br />Footage shows the man hanging out of the moving VW Golf as it travels along a busy road near Corralejo in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, on April 16.<br /><br />He was caught on camera for around 30 seconds with the wind blowing through his hair as he posed for pictures.<br /><br />The reckless stunt sparked outrage from passing motorist Hugo Morera who reported the incident to Spanish police. <br /><br />The Civil Guard launched an investigation and arrested the driver of the hire car and three passengers at a petrol station the next day. <br /><br />The man filming himself was the front seat passenger. He was charged with not wearing a seat belt and opening the car door while in motion. Police also charged the driver with dangerous driving. <br /><br />Both men appeared in court the next day after their arrest and received fines.
