Workers installed protective material over parts of the stricken Notre Dame cathedral as rain is forecast for Paris over the coming days.<br /><br />Nine days after the fire that destroyed the cathedral roof, footage filmed today (April 24) shows the famed stained glass windows covered with tarp and reinforced with timber.<br /><br />According to local news outlets, plans to erect a giant "umbrella" on the roof are in place to protect the structure while reconstruction takes place.
