Severe flooding has hit central and eastern Canada today (April 26), inundating communities and forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes. <br /><br />Footage captured in Huntsville town shows roads washed out and piles of sandbags emerging to the surface of the flood waters.<br /><br />One resident can be seen standing atop of a house roof after flood waters reached the ground floor of his home.<br /><br />Heavy rains and rising water will continue to hit the area in the next few days.
