Tours to the southern side of the Joint Security Area,... which had been halted since last October,... are to resume from Wednesday.<br />Seoul's defense ministry said the tour was halted due to demining operations and the withdrawal of military posts in the area.<br />Both are seen as integral parts of the inter-Korean Comprehensive Military Agreement signed last September aimed at disarming the JSA, which is located in the Demilitarized Zone.<br />The ministry also says it's working with North Korea and the UN Command to allow visitors to access to the northern side of the JSA.<br />South Korean nationals can apply for the tour online through the National Intelligence Service website.<br />Foreigners can apply through tour agencies listed on the NIS or the Unification Ministry's Office of Inter-Korean Dialogue websites. <br /><br />
