Moon said his administration will work to promote the sector alongside bio-health and future automobiles. <br />The president listed key factors of his goal to reach to the status of a comprehensive semiconductor power, including becoming number one in the world in the chip foundry sector and staying in the lead in the memory chip field. <br />His remarks follow Samsung's release of figures showing a 60-percent drop in its operating profit in the first quarter of this year, due to falls in chip prices and slowing demand for display panels. <br />
