Maybe it went a little too fast after halfway, a little too soon, but I mean, it’s my first one, so, I’m learning.<br /><br />Sisson is now the sixth-fastest American in history.<br /><br />SISSON<br />It’s promising I think for my first one to go that well. It’s a good place to be and we have a lot to build off of, there are a lot of things we can improve on in the future. I’m pretty happy because I feel like for 2020 I can maybe look at the marathon and the 10K or either/or, so I feel like I’m in a pretty good place.<br /><br />Her training partner Molly Huddle finished 12th.<br /><br />Her 2:26:33 gives her the Olympic standard.<br /><br />HUDDLE<br />I felt rough from like 10K on, like my legs were just really achy today.<br /><br />I thought about dropping out but I wasn’t sure how bad my time would be but then I realized, I’m well within the Trials time so I need to stay in and do my best.<br /><br />Daniel Romanchuk won the men’s wheelchair race in 1:33:38.<br /><br />It’s his fourth straight major marathon victory.<br /><br />Manuela Schär won the women’s race in 1:44:09.
