A huge fire is ravaging an industrial unit in Bristol, causing the evacuation of more than 40 houses on Friday night (May 3).<br /><br />More than 70 firefighters are tackling the blaze in Speedwell. They may have to spend the night there according to officials. <br /><br />Local residents reported hearing explosions and the fire could be seen over a large part of the city.<br /><br />The filmer told Newsflare that he had been evacuated and that he was not sure his house was safe. He added: "Whole street has been evacuated, warnings of asbestos in the air."<br /><br />Fire Chief Mick Crennell called the fire a "major incident" and tweeted that the teams were working "very hard in challenging circumstances to keep our communities safe".<br /><br />The cause of the fire is not yet known and no injuries have been reported.
