I found this old bell on eBay and thought it would make a nice little project to restore while I got the hang of doing videos like this.<br /><br />The bell was covered in what looked like dirt, but proved to be really difficult to get off! In the end I had to use a brass wheel on my bench grinder to get the bell clean again, then it was a case of using my polishing mops to bring it back to a nice shine. <br />The inside of the bell needed to be done by hand; I did this with sandpaper and good old fashioned elbow grease. <br />Final polishing was done with Farecla G3 polishing compound, followed by good old fashioned Brasso.<br /><br />While this wasn't the most intricate restoration, I picked a simple one so I could concentrate on learning how to video and edit projects like this. It's a bit rough around the edges, but I've learned a lot and look forward to producing more videos like this!
