South Korean soprano Jo Su-mi has received a knighthood from the Italian government. <br />Jo, one of the world's top coloratura sopranos, was decorated with the order of the Italian Star, and granted a Cavaliere title on Monday for her contributions to fostering bilateral exchanges in the field of opera music. <br />Ever since Jo went to Italy in 1983,... her superb interpretation of Italian opera has helped lead to greater exchanges in opera music between Italy and Korea. <br />
