The Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Belgium Guy Verhofstadt joined anti-Brexit supporters in London today (May 10).<br /><br />Verhofstadt highlighted the importance of the European Union as a project of ''peace'' and ''common understanding'' as he addressed the media outside Westminster.<br /><br />''We have to stop nationalism and populism the fastest as possible because otherwise, it could be the end of a fantastic project,'' he said.
