A housewife in south Thailand had a fright when she found a wild snake at the bottom of her washing machine. <br /><br />The woman went to do her laundry on the afternoon of April 30 in Nonthaburi, when she noticed the black reptile at the bottom of the drum. <br /><br />Emergency services had to be called to catch the common rat snake that same day, as seen with rescue workers fishing it out prior to it being released elsewhere. <br /><br />Rescue worker Somchet Kundapya commented: ''It's fortunate that the woman saw the snake before she put her clothes inside. I don't think it would have survived inside a washing machine.’'
