Thousands of yellow vest protesters clashed with police forces in Lyon, France on May 11 during the national appeal of ACT XVI.<br /><br />The massive crowd march down a street wearing their trademark yellow vests carrying brightly coloured flags and ringing loud bells. <br /><br />The activists start a raucous chant as the police become agitated and then they begin firing projectiles into the crowd. <br /><br />Several police officers and protesters were reported to have been injured. <br /><br />The footage is shot from behind the police line and there are good images of policemen firing smoking projectiles into the crowd. <br /><br />The filmer captures 'return fire' from the crowd which sounds like bottles and rocks as a smashing noise can be picked out.
