The French hostages who were kidnapped while on safari in northern Benin and freed in a high-risk mission have thanked the fallen soldiers and the French government for rescuing them.<br />They also told reporters after returning home on Saturday that the travel guidelines issued by the French government should be fully respected.<br />"We thank France, its army and intelligence services, for its professionalism and its humanity. We hope that all this violence will stop to give way to a more brotherly world that would finally try to understand each other."<br />The South Korean woman who was also held with them arrived in France, and is reportedly undergoing health inspections under the protection of the French military. <br />
