Chinese tourists gather together while wearing matching elephant pattern costumes on their holiday to Thailand. <br /><br />The colourful cotton garments, adorned with images of the country’s national animal, have become a popular souvenir for many tourists from China when they visit their neighbour in South East Asia. <br /><br />Groups of holidaymakers have been seen around Bangkok on a number of occasions in the matching sets of clothes. <br /><br />In the latest instance, the lads were happy to wave for the camera while displaying their matching suits. <br /><br />Chinese tourists are the biggest group of visitors to Thailand, accounting for 10 million arrivals in 2018 - more than half the whole total compared with other nationalities. <br /><br />In the first two months of 2019, the total number of Chinese tourist arrivals was 2.12 million. Foreign tourist receipts account for around 12 percent of Thailand's gross domestic product.
