Tributes are being paid by the French public to the two soldiers who died during the rescue operation of four people being held hostage in Burkina Faso.<br /><br />Parisians today (May 14) lined the streets applauding as the hearses carrying the two commandos passed by.<br /><br />Cedric de Pierrepont, 32, and Alain Bertoncello, 27, were the two French commandos killed in the raid which saved two French tourists, an American and a Korean.<br /><br />Bertoncello and de Pierrepont were both members of the prestigious Hubert commando unit of the French naval special forces.
