Disney Takes Full Control of Hulu in Deal With Comcast Disney will takeover the streaming <br />platform after buying Comcast's stake <br />in the service. Comcast will sell the stake for <br />nearly $6 billion within the next half decade. The deal allows Comcast to keep licensing media on the streamer <br />into 2024. Starting in 2020, they can pull exclusively licensed content featured on Hulu. Disney CEO Bob Iger, via statement Iger adds that Disney will use <br />its brands to enhance Hulu's<br />services for subscribers. The streamer is seen as <br />a key part of Disney's future <br />with entertainment services. By 2024, Disney CFO Christine McCarthy says they expect Hulu to climb to 60 million subscribers. Currently, the streamer <br />has nearly 27 million <br />paid users.
