A massive student walkout was staged on May 14 in protest of alleged 'rigged' midterm government elections. <br /><br />Students from the University of Philippines, moderates and non-affiliated students gathered en-masse and were led by national democratic organisations in the protest. <br /><br />Rep. Arlene Brosas said many Filipinos are calling for accountability on the alleged abnormal midterm election results.<br /><br />Progressive groups including student protesters and representatives Kabataan, Anakbayan and Gabriela, among others, demand poll transparency.<br /><br />Footage shows a hoard of students roaring out a chant as they leave a building.
