Court Throws out Key Evidence
in Robert Kraft Solicitation Case A county judge has ruled video evidence against
Kraft inadmissible in the investigation of his
involvement in a Florida sex-trafficking ring. Kraft was charged in February with two counts
of soliciting sex at a day spa in Jupiter, Florida. He has maintained his
innocence throughout the
case, refusing to take a plea deal. Kraft’s lawyers argued that police violated
the fourth amendment of spa customers
when installing their hidden cameras. The judge agreed, ruling that the investigator’s
search warrant was “insufficient,” as it did not
properly define the parameters of their cameras. Judge Leonard Hanser,
via statement Evidence from a traffic stop used
afterwards to confirm Kraft’s identity has
also been thrown out as a result of the ruling. Kraft’s next step will likely be filing a motion
to dismiss the case, although prosecutors
are still able to appeal the judge’s ruling.
