Kodak Black Faces Federal Charges
After Arrest at Rolling Loud Music Festival The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Black before
his May 11 show at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Rolling Loud has released a statement, saying
the performer was arrested on the way to the
festival and not on festival property. Black was reportedly charged with
making false statements while attempting
to purchase firearms earlier in the year. He failed to indicate that he was
currently under indictment while
filling out paperwork for the weapons. The 21-year-old rapper was indicted in 2016
for sexual assault charges and was also arrested
in April 2019 for criminal possession of a weapon. Black’s attorney has claimed it was not a
conscious decision, but rather an unintentional
mistake due to “misleading” legal terms. Black is currently in custody and will appear
in court on Wednesday, where prosecutors
will reportedly request he remains behind bars.
