Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has expressed unhappiness at curbs imposed on the government by the Election Commission for by-election campaigns.<br /><br />In particular, Mahathir complained about the EC's restrictive rules on the use of government assets.<br /><br />"I do not think these restrictions are good," he told a press conference in Putrajaya after chairing a Special Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corruption meeting.<br /><br />Mahathir also raised unhappiness about campaigning restrictions on ministers while they are on duty.<br /><br />He said such a rule would hurt Pakatan Harapan, and advantage the opposition because they do not hold government jobs.
