PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says Malaysia must not bow down to international pressure over lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues.<br /><br />Although the country has to take into consideration the concerns of the international community, he stressed that foreigners did not have any right to dictate terms on the issue.<br /><br />He was commenting on US actor George Clooney who appeared on a talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres that the boycott against Brunei was a "warning shot" to Indonesia and Malaysia, should they consider introducing the death penalty for homosexuality.<br /><br />Malaysia does not have laws against homosexuality but criminalises unnatural sex under the Penal Code.
