The grandfather-grandson duo confirmed that<br />new episodes would be coming out in November. A specific release date and the number of<br />episodes in the new season were not confirmed. This marks the longest gap between<br />the show’s seasons, as the third<br />one wrapped in October 2017. Creator Dan Harmon revealed in April 2018 that<br />the delay was due to “unprecedented” negotiations<br />between the show and Turner Entertainment. ‘Rick and Morty’ was subsequently<br />renewed a month later in May 2018<br />for 70 more episodes.
