주한미군, ‘연합사 평택기지로 이전’ 제시... “현재 협의 중”: 연합뉴스<br /><br />U.S. Forces Korea reportedly suggested relocating the Combined Forces Command to Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek... south of Seoul.<br />Citing a government source, Yonhap News reported that the USFK preferred that location to Yongsan compound because of lower housing fees for military personnel and their families.<br />Lack of communication between the two countries is being cited as one of the main drawbacks to the suggested plan.<br />Seoul's defense ministry has neither confirmed nor denied the report... pointing out that relocation plan is one of the many options being discussed since last year. <br />
