NSC "대북 인도적지원 정치상황과 무관하게 추진"<br /><br />The South Korean government also plans to provide 8 million U.S. dollars in humanitarian aid to North Korea through international organizations.<br />The National Security Council announced this afternoon that it will move forward with the 8-million dollar aid to help North Korean children and pregnant women... at the request of the WFP and UNICEF.<br />The council also says it will push ahead with food aid to North Korea,... a gesture it says should not be affected by politics.<br />The remarks came during a meeting chaired by National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong,... where council members discussed the World Food Programme's recent report on the North's food situation.<br />The NSC plans to continue reviewing specific plans for the food aid,... also reflecting public opinion on the matter. <br />
