The CW Releases First Trailer for Ruby Rose's 'Batwoman' In the show, Rose will play Kate Kane, <br />a cousin of Batman's Bruce Wayne. The program will be an origin story that sees Kane head to Gotham <br />after leaving military school. But Batman has disappeared from Gotham, leading crime to run rampant once again. After discovering the bat cave, Kane steps in <br />for her missing cousin to battle villains. She does so with the help of <br />his batsuit and gadgets. Like Rose herself, Kane will <br />be openly gay and must rescue <br />an old ex-girlfriend who gets captured. She also becomes frustrated when Batman begins getting credit for her crime-fighting accomplishments. 'Batwoman' is slated to debut in the fall <br />with an exact date not yet known.
