Japanese Defense Minister Takeshi Iwaya has expressed his intent to restore bilateral ties with South Korea. <br />Japanese broadcaster NHK reported on Sunday,... that he stressed coordination among Tokyo, Seoul and Washington is crucial when it comes to dealing with North Korea. <br />The Japanese daily Sankei Shimbun also reported earlier that Tokyo's defense chief is eager to sit down with his South Korean counterpart on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue which is set to be held in Singapore from May 31st to June 2nd.<br />It the two ministers do meet,... it will be the first such meeting since Tokyo accused a South Korean warship of locking its fire-control radar on a Japanese patrol aircraft in December last year. <br />
