Red Sox and Yankees to Face off in London Next Month The matchups will be held on June 29 <br />and 30 at Olympic Stadium. It will be the first time <br />New York and Boston have <br />played each other on artificial turf. Over their storied rivalry, the teams <br />have nearly 2,200 games between them. The turf that will be used is similar to surfaces currently played on by <br />a couple of pro baseball teams. The infield at Olympic Stadium will be all dirt like <br />typical ballparks. Necessities such as foul poles, dugouts and fencing are scheduled to be built before the series. The size of the field will be 385 feet to <br />center and 330 to left and right. In addition to games next month, the MLB is planning on hosting more at Olympic Stadium in 2020.
