Andrea Leadsom, the Leader of the House of Commons and a prominent Brexiteer, has resigned as British Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit plan was hit by a massive backlash from her own party's MPs.<br />Leadsom said she could not announce the new Withdrawal Agreement Bill, which will implement Britain's departure from the EU, in parliament on Thursday as she did not believe in it.<br />With Leadsom quitting, May could face further defections from her ailing government ahead of her fourth attempt to get her new Brexit deal passed.<br />May is facing pressure to resign and if she does, Leadsom is expected to throw her hat into the ring to try and become the next PM. <br />
