Netflix Drops Teaser and <br />Premiere Date for Final Season <br />of 'Orange is the New Black' The seventh and final season of ‘Orange is<br />the New Black’ is set to premiere on July 26. Netflix recently released a short teaser<br />trailer of the final season, offering a<br />behind-the-scenes look at the cast. Natasha Lyonne, Dascha Polanco, Kate Mulgrew<br />and more are featured singing, ‘You’ve Got Time.’ The catchy tune by Regina Spektor is the well-<br />known theme song for the show’s opening credits. Season seven will follow Piper’s<br />long awaited release from prison, as well as the journey of other popular<br />characters as they are sent to other prisons<br />due to Litchfield’s closure at the end of season six. ‘Orange is the New Black’ has won<br />four Emmys across 19 nominations<br />since the series premiere in 2013. It also helped Netflix achieve a record<br />number of hours streamed in a single day<br />when its third season premiered in 2015.
