Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin agrees with veteran newsman A Kadir Jasin that government leaders should voluntarily step down and make way for others if their performances have not been up to par.<br /><br />"I see it as the personal view of a media professional, although he (Kadir) is a Bersatu member.<br /><br />"We leave it to the individuals who Kadir meant (to decide on whether to step down). I don't know who he meant.<br /><br />"If it were me, I would step down," the Bersatu president told the media after attending a programme in Putrajaya on Thursday. <br /><br />Muhyiddin was responding to Kadir's recent blog post, in which he called on menteris besar, chief ministers and state excos who are still struggling to perform a year after being in power to consider vacating their posts.
