유니세프 "韓정부 대북지원 공여금 350만 달러 배정"<br /><br />Of the 8 million U.S. dollars in aid South Korea is planning to give to the North, UNICEF will reportedly be handling 3-and-a-half million of it,... or 44 percent. <br />Voice of America quoted UNICEF spokesperson Shima Islam... as saying Thursday that the UN agency welcomes what she called Seoul's generous donation.<br />The organization will use the funds to treat 4-hundred-50-thousand North Korean children under the age of five... suffering from diarrhea and pneumonia.<br />However, she did not disclose how the money is going to be divided or monitored.<br />The South Korean government said earlier this month.... that it will donate the 8 million dollars to the World Food Programme and UNICEF... for projects in North Korea to help with nutrition and the health of mothers and children. <br />
