A mother and her son dining at a restaurant in eastern China managed to escape unhurt after a car smashed through the doors.<br /><br />The CCTV footage, captured in Taizhou City in Zhejiang Province on May 21, shows a car suddenly speeding into the restaurant through the glass doors and crashing into a table where the mum and son were sat. <br /><br />However, the car missed both the pair by inches. The son fell onto the floor beside the car and crawled away, while the mum stood up immediately to escape.<br /><br />The car driver pressed the accelerator by mistake causing the accident, according to preliminary judgment. The case is under further investigation.
