An earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 stuck northern Peru at the Peruvian Amazon region in the early hours of Sunday morning.<br /><br />Peru´s National Emergency Center(COEN) said at least 11 people were injured and more than 50 homes destroyed.<br /><br />Emergency officials said that at least one person in the Cajamarca region was killed after a boulder struck his home.
