Watch this dramatic footage of people throwing themselves down Cooper's Hill at the annual cheese-rolling contest in Gloucestershire, England on May 27. <br /><br />The bizarre tradition sees brave men and women risk injury to chase a piece of cheese down a hill. <br /><br />The festival dates back to the 1800s and takes place every late May Bank Holiday.<br /><br />Footage shows multiple competitors running down a steep hill after a wheel of cheese has been rolled down the hill before them. <br /><br />Many of the contestants fall over while running down and their body's become like a ragdoll as they flop and flounder uncontrollably down the hill. <br /><br />The filmer captures many competitors laying on the ground in pain as emergency services attend to them. <br /><br />There are also images of race winners lifting the wheel of cheese above their head after they have run the gauntlet and become the first down the hill.
