Thousands gathered on Cooper's Hill in Brockworth, England, for the annual Cheese Rolling event in May 2019.<br /><br />The famous event dates back to the 1800s and takes place every late May Bank Holiday.<br /><br />Cheeses for the event were made by Smarts of Gloucester and bought by local members of the community.<br /><br />Footage captures the best and most gruesome tumbles as competitors chase the wheel of cheese bouncing down the hill in front of them. <br /><br />The filmer zooms in on one tumbler dressed in a Superman costume and a red skirt around his waist. This particular competitor spends most of the race falling head-over-heels for the cheese before surfacing ostensibly unscathed.
