PKR president Anwar Ibrahim believes the current Umno-PAS cooperation will start to fray closer to the next general election due to differences in their policies and ideologies.<br /><br />"When it is nearer to the general election, there will be arguments... over their policies and ideas," he told reporters after chairing a parliamentary caucus on reforms and governance meeting in Parliament today.<br /><br />Anwar was responding to a question about claims that the alliance was still being questioned by grassroots members of both parties.<br /><br />It was previously reported that a draft joint charter for cooperation between Umno and PAS had been submitted to leaders of the respective parties.
