the AU review's Larry Heath sits down with Ben Lee to talk about his new record "Love is the Great Rebellion", out 29th May 2015. <br /><br />In the second part to our interview with Ben Lee, we touch on meeting audience expectations: "In a way there was something new happening in that I stopped fighting the flow of what my audience wanted... I started realising - I'm picking the wrong battle! These guys actually like my music, they like coming to my shows.... why am I trying to undermine them all the time?" Lee also said: "I just thought, let me work with what people expect of me, and give them these pop songs... Then hopefully I can Trojan Horse the experience once again, and insert something in there that will be subversive and expansive within that experience..."<br /><br />Finally, when asked about what Australian crowds could expect from his live shows, Lee stated "I try and make (my shows) a living thing. I like to have an actual experience - I have to learn from it. I don't know exactly what will happen but I'll try and be present and do my best."<br /><br />Part Two of Two.
