An electric scooter battery exploded while charging in a residential apartment in China's Shanghai on May 11.<br /><br />The CCTV video shows the battery of an electric scooter suddenly bursting into flames as it was charging in an apartment.<br /><br />Neighbours heard the noises and called the house owner. They put out the fire together. Fortunately, only several items of furniture near the battery were damaged.
